I Seeee Yoouuu

…and I like it! You may not have noticed the little Meebo Me! widget on the right column there, but if I’m logged in to my meebo account (which I whole-heartedly endorse – every time they release a new version, it gets better and faster, and more intuitive to use), I see a little popup window peek up and say meeboguest123456789 has logged in.

It makes me happy to see people visiting this page, and even happier to see comments appear on posts. If you happen to see I’m online, type in the little box there and send me a message. I think it would be fun to chat, even if it’s just a “hi.” Occasionally, I’ve been pro-active and sent a message to whatever random visitor has shown up, but I never got a response.

You should shoot me a message through the widget! I may be working at the moment, but just hang out for a bit and I should get back to you soon if not immediately. You can even edit your name so instead of a semi-random string of numbers, you can name yourself for later.

StrYderz

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

Usually I simply add a link to the right column and call your attention to it in a short post, but I feel I have to talk a bit more at length about this one.

StrYderz is a comic hosted on the Internet, but it is more than a cut above just about every webcomic out there. It is presented in a full page format and most pages are black on white with more than a few in grayscale. A couple are in color for dramatic effect, but the noir feeling throughout is astounding.

Characters stay on-model, the storyboarding is top-notch, and the dialogue is natural.

I honestly can’t recommend StrYderz enough.

New Interweb Link – Lifehacker

Monday, July 27th, 2009

I stumbled on Lifehacker from a slashdot reference. It’s pretty neat as it has all sorts of geeky techy stuff for doing stuff the SteveTM way, but this time it’s in an article so I can point to it and say, “see!? Other people do things like this too!”

Ame will still roll her eyes, but there’s validation in it, you see!

There’s now a handy dandy link to it on the sidebar too. How awesome is that?

What now?

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

What is this crap? The CSS broke. I don’t know if it’s only here at work with IE6 and it’s idiosyncrasies, or it’s actually broken… Nothing changed on the codebase that I know of, so this is curious.

I’ll have to investigate, so in the mean time, my apologies for a crappy looking site.

UPDATE:
Apart from the complete lack of updates, there was nothing wrong with my site even though I spotted it both in broken and unbroken states. I fixed and changed nothing and the only variable I can think of is the Google Ads I have placed here. Usually Google is cool. What happened, man? You flaked out for a bit there.

Jason’s got a blog

Monday, June 15th, 2009

I’ve made a convert out of Jason. Ever since he learned of my own public journal here, he devoured just about every post I’ve got, commented on a few, and felt hungry for more blog. I pointed him over to wordpress.com, and now he’s got his own corner on the Internet.

Jason’s a co-worker here and we regularly chat about this and that, many times worth discussing with the wide world. So go check it out, already! It’s also over on the list of links on the side for your consumption later.
