My good friend from college, Justin Myers, is currently deployed in Iraq. He has a blog that you should check regularly, and I’ve even added a link over on the side there. It’s not so much hot over there, as cold and rainy lately and he says it’s pretty safe inside the wire. He says the work he does is fun and cool, but still dangerous; it’s certainly not conventional “boots on the ground” type of work. I remember looking it up some time ago and didn’t find terribly much information – something with intelligence and propaganda. About that time, I asked him in person if he were involved in setting up antennae or communications equipment, and the only answer he could give me was “not exactly.”
